A Rich Heritage in the Heart of Karaka
Established in 1912, Pukekohe Golf Club's journey began with a nomadic existence across several locations before finding its permanent home on over 100 acres of prime Karaka farmland. On April 29, 1939, the current course opened for play, masterfully designed by Irish engineer and renowned golf architect Charles Redhead who would go on to shape some of New Zealand's finest courses, including Rotorua, New Plymouth, and Manawatu.
The course has evolved through the decades, with Commander John Harris making significant improvements in the mid-1960s, and Grant Puddicombe's design company implementing further enhancements in 2003. Today, Pukekohe stands as one of Auckland's most respected golf destinations, blending championship-quality golf with warm hospitality.
